ABOUT THE EVENT…
Matthew battled cancer for over 3 years.  In 2007 he was diagnosed with a PNET brain tumor.  He fought through 5 rounds of chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant.  A relapse in January 2009 led to six weeks of radiation therapy.  In October 2009, the cancer spread to his abdominal cavity through his shunt, surrounding his organs.  His blood counts were too low for any aggressive chemotherapy, so he was on a low-dose regimen for one year to try and stop the cancer from growing.  The cancer eventually spread to his lungs in December 2010 and Matthew went to heaven on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the tender age of 5 1/2 years old. 
 
Join us for a day on the links to raise funding and awareness for Childhood Cancer. Proceeds from the golf event and silent auction will benefit Kids ‘N Kamp in Matthew Barr’s name as a ‘Thank You’ for the compassion and care they’ve provided for Matthew and his family and other local families affected by Childhood Cancer.

Registration begins at 8:30 A.M.

Shotgun start at 10:00 A.M.

The golf outing will follow the four-person scramble format.

Following the golf outing, there will be a burger & bratwurst buffet, award ceremony and silent auction.
